For the 2020/2021/2022 NFL season, the NFL channel on Roku gives you access to NFL Game pass, NFL Network, and NFL RedZone. All of those items require a subscription of some kind, but there is also free material, such as free access to NFL Now.
When the channel first goes live, you’ll be asked to sign in with your pay TV provider, NFL Game pass, or CBS All Access. You’ll be able to bypass these logins if you just want the free stuff. Here’s what you’ll find under each of the four choices:
The NFL’s Roku channel is free to add, but you’ll need to subscribe to NFL Game pass, CBS All Access, or a participating pay TV provider to watch much of the content. If you don’t have either of those, the NFL’s Roku channel will only show you game scores, game highlights, and clips from NFL shows if you don’t have any of them. Game Theory, a series of short videos in which NFL Media’s Cynthia Frelund makes game predictions, and Move the Sticks, a podcast hosted by NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah and five-year NFL veteran Bucky Brooks, are two examples of free content. Longer NFL Explained videos are also available, such as this 16-minute look at how the NFL’s rules have changed over the last 100 seasons. Weekly schedules for upcoming games and game results are also available.
Subscribers to NFL Game pass will watch full broadcast replays, condensed games of around 45 minutes, and “All-22” coaches films that display every action. A subscription to NFL Game pass costs $99.99 and lasts until July 31, 2021. This connection will take you to a 7-day free trial of NFL Game Pass. If you change your mind and don’t want to subscribe, you can cancel at any time during your trial.
NFL Network is the NFL’s flagship product, broadcasting NFL news, analysis, facts, and events 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. During the NFL season, RedZone broadcasts live coverage of NFL games around the country every Sunday afternoon, including every touchdown from every game.
You must already have NFL Network connectivity via a participating pay-TV provider to stream NFL Network and RedZone on Roku. Some online sites, such as FuboTV and YouTube TV, as well as national and several regional and local cable providers, are among the participants. Steps for Activation
